Xiaomi Redmi A3 goes official in Nepal: Here’s the complete specs

Xiaomi Redmi A3 Price in Nepal

After the global rollout of the Note 13 series, Xiaomi has now turned its attention to the more affordable A series.

Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Redmi A3 in Nepal. So, let’s discuss the Xiaomi Redmi A3 in more detail, including the specs, features, and pricing.

Xiaomi Redmi A3: Everything You Need to Know

Redmi A3 is the third smartphone in Xiaomi’s entry-level series. It is the cheapest phone in the company’s 2024 lineup.

All New Halo Design

The most noticeable change on the Redmi A3 comes in the design department.

Here, Xiaomi is introducing a new bold design with a huge circular camera module at the back. The company is calling this the new Halo design.

It houses the dual camera arrangement of an 8MP primary and a depth sensor.

The Olive Green variant of the phone has a textured finish due to the use of faux leather.

The Midnight Black and Lake Blue versions, on the other hand, use glass black which is still premium for a smartphone of this price range.

There is no place for a fingerprint module on the back, which is why Redmi has shifted it to the right.

90Hz Display

Another highlight is the new 90Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi previously democratized higher refresh rate screens in the mid-range segment with the Note series.

It looks like the Redmi A3 is a step toward making it more affordable and, hence, more accessible.

Xiaomi Redmi A3 Display Specifications

The screen measures 6.71-inch in diagonal length and sports an HD+ resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels.

Plus, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The waterdrop notch on top houses a 5MP selfie shooter.

Jump to 6GB RAM

To ensure the phone doesn’t run out of memory, Xiaomi is introducing a new 6GB RAM variant.

You will be able to add another 6GB of virtual RAM at the expense of storage.

To make it work, the phone features 128GB of storage.

There is also a 4GB RAM variant with the same level of storage.

The cheapest variant, on the other hand, pairs 3GB of RAM with 63GB of storage.

You can extend the storage up to 1TB on all the memory variations.

Xiaomi is most likely using LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Type-C Charging

Redmi A2/A2+ is packed with 5,000mAh batteries, which is plenty for the low-end budget smartphone segment.

As a result, the upcoming A3 hasn’t made any changes in this department.

That said, Xiaomi is replacing the micro USB charging port with a more sustainable Type-C form.

Same Helio G36 Chip

Xiaomi is not making any changes in the chipset either. The Redmi A3 is powered by the same Helio G36 chip that powered its predecessor. It is a 12nm chip featuring 8 Cortex-A53 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz.

Likewise, the phone will ships Android 14 out of the box.
