Xiaomi first announced the Redmi Note 13 series in September of last year in China. The series made its global debut last month. And now, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Pro+ phones have made their way into Nepal.

In this article, we will explore the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in more detail, including its specs, features, price, and availability.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+: Everything You Need to Know

“Flagship” Design and Durability

The Note 13 Pro+ is the most expensive phone in the lineup up to date, and Xiaomi has made sure you would notice it when you lay first hand on the device.

The phone has a curved AMOLED panel, a first for the Note series, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, something we only see in high-end phones.

In addition, the phone now has an official IP68 against dust and water — better ingress protection compared to the OnePlus 12.

Xiaomi has even clad the Aurora Purple color variant with vegan leather.

The Midnight Black and Moonlight White may not have that faux leather texture, but they still look and feel premium because of the dual-tone glass finish.

1.5K 120Hz AMOLED Display

The screen on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a diagonal length of 6.67 inches and packs a total of 2712 × 1220 pixels. This totals to a sharp 446 PPI pixel density. You are looking at a 12-bit panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

The screen is compliant with HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision and boasts a peak brightness of 1800 nits. There are over 16000 levels of brightness and 1920Hz PWM dimming.

For gamers, the screen refreshes at 120Hz, and you also get a 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate with the Turbo (Game) mode turned on.

For biometrics, Xiaomi has included an under-display optical fingerprint scanner also capable of heart rate monitoring.

200MP OIS Camera

Xiaomi is also riding high on the camera capabilities of the Note 13 Pro+. It flaunts a triple camera setup led by the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor. This is paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor.

The 200MP sensor uses 16-in-1 pixel binning to capture 12.5MP images by default. In front of it is the 7P lens that has Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) coating to reduce flare.

Moreover, the primary camera module has Optical Image Stabilization that works along with Electric Image Stabilization (EIS), letting you take steadier videos and photos.

As for videography, the phone can take 4K videos at up to 30fps from the back. Whereas the 16MP selfie camera is only capable of 1080/60fps.

MediaTek Dimensity 7200 “Ultra”

All the processing on the Note 13 Pro+ is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra. It is an octa-core chip with a 2.8GHz clock speed, built on TSMC’s 4nm process node. The visuals, including the in-game ones, are rendered by Mali G610 GPU.

To help the phone run cool under load, Xiaomi has slapped a 4,000mm² VC heat sink and 11,000mm² graphite cooling area.

The phone comes in two memory configurations – a base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and a higher-end version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Xiaomi is using LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 built-in storage on all variants of the 13 Pro Plus.

Battery and Charging

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ packs a single-cell battery of 5,000mAh capacity. With it, Xiaomi is claiming 14 days of standby, 19 hours of offline video playback, and 12 hours of game time.

Charging is no slouch, either. With the 120W power adapter you get in the box, you can charge the phone completely within 19 minutes.

This is made possible by the in-house P1 charging chip, which also takes care of the battery’s health.
