Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy A12 features 6.5-inch PLS IPS with 720 x 1600 pixels. This device has approximately 82.1 screen-to-body ratios with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Looking at the device aesthetics we have a flat display with a waterdrop notch on top and a visible chin on the bottom. On the left edge, there are volume rockers, beneath lies the fingerprint sensor integrated power button. As seen on the majority of the mid-range devices, the Galaxy A12 also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. This is a piece of great news for wired earphone/ headphone lovers.
48MP Quad Camera Module
Although Galaxy A12 is a budget device, it rocks on the camera department. There is a total of five camera lenses. For the selfie camera, we have an 8MP (wide) lens. The waterdrop notch confines the lens. The 8MP selfie lens lets you shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.

For the rear camera, we have a quad-lens setup. This consists of 48MP (wide) + 5MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth). These lenses are aligned in a square box. Beneath the lens setup lies an LED flash. With these lenses, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps. The lenses are aligned horizontally. Besides the lenses lies an LED flash.
Performance, Software, and Battery
The Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) powers Galaxy A12. Alongside the Mediatek chipset, we have an octa-core CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This device operates on Android 10.

It comes in four storage variants, 3/32GB, 4/64GB, 4/128GB & 6/128GB. You can expand the internal storage using micro SDXC. Moving forward to the battery, there’s a massive 5000mAh battery. It also supports 15W fast charging. For the charging port, unfortunately, we have micro USB 2.0. As the current trend in the charging port is the standard USB Type-C.
