The Samsung Galaxy S21 series is officially available in Nepal for pre-order. Just after a week of official announcement from Samsung, this series is heading to the Nepali market. Galaxy S21 lineup is one of the most anticipated flagships from Samsung. This series looks promising with impressive features. The better display with an updated camera bump looks appealing. Design and Display
Samsung Galaxy S21 flaunts 6.2-inch while Galaxy S21+ has bigger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED, HDR10+ having 1080 x 2400 pixels. Galaxy S21 and S21+ have an approximately 87.2% and 88.3% screen-to-body ratio respectively with an aspect ratio of 20:9. With the refresh of 120Hz and peak brightness of 1300 nits, the display on these devices looks solid.
Looking at the device aesthetics, we have centered punch-hole on both S21 and S21+. For the protection, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The aluminum frame with the plastic back binds the device together. Both of these are IP68 dust/water-resistant and can withstand up to 1.5m for 30 minutes (as advertised).
64MP Triple Rear Camera Setup
On the camera department, Galaxy S21 and S21+ look amazing. Both of them have similar lens configuration. For the selfie camera, we have a 10MP (wide) lens. The classic centered punch-hole cutout confines this. With the selfie lens, you can shoot videos 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30fps.
On the rear department, we have a triple-lens setup. This consists of 12MP (wide) + 64MP (telephoto) + 12MP (ultrawide). The wide and telephoto lenses support Optical Image Stabilization. The 64MP telephoto lens also supports 1.1x optical zoom & 3x hybrid optical zoom. The 12MP ultrawide lens gives you Super Steady video.
These lenses are aligned vertically in a rectangular setup. Besides the lenses lies an LED flash. With the triple rear camera setup, you can shoot videos 8K@24fps, 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, 720p@960fps, HDR10+, stereo sound rec., gyro-EIS & OIS.
Performance, Battery, and Software
The Exynos 2100 (5nm) and Mali-G78 MP14 powers both International Galaxy S21 and S21+. While the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 888 (5 nm) and Adreno 660 powers the USA/China model. These chipsets are accompanied by an octa-core CPU. For internal storage, we have 128GB and 256GB with no expansion slot.
The Galaxy S21 is fueled by a 4000mAh battery. On the Galaxy S21+, we have a bigger power cell, 4800mAh. Both of these devices support 25-watt fast charging including USB Power Delivery 3.0, 15-watt Qi/PMA wireless charging, and 4.5-watt reverse charging. For the charging port, we have the standard USB Type-C port.
They do support Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified). There’s no sight of a headphone jack on these flagships as usual. For the fingerprint, we have an under-display ultrasonic sensor. Other features like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Bixby natural language commands & dictation, Samsung Dex plus Wireless DeX, and many more.

Design and Display
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra boasts 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, HDR10+ having 1440 x 3200 pixels. It has an approximately 89.8% screen-to-body ratio with an aspect ratio of 20:9. With the refresh of 120Hz and peak brightness of 1500 nits, the display looks even better.
Moving on to device aesthetics we have a centered punch-hole. For the protection, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. On the rear department, we have a quad-lens setup. This consists of 108MP (wide) + 10MP (periscope telephoto) + 10MP (telephoto) + 12MP (ultrawide). The 10MP telephoto lenses support Optical Image Stabilization and 3x optical zoom. The 10MP periscope telephoto lens supports 10x optical zoom. The 12MP ultrawide lens gives you Super Steady video.
