Vivo Y12s is officially available for pre-order with exciting gifts and offers

Vivo is back again with another budget device, Vivo Y12s. It is the successor of the Vivo Y12 that was launched back in 2019. Vivo Y12s was officially released in November 2020 and finally, this device has made its way to the Nepali market. As of now, Vivo Y12s is available for pre-order. With the pre-order user can get various exciting offers. The Vivo Y12s price in Nepal is Rs 17,999 for 3/32GB. There are few changes here and there among Vivo Y12 and Vivo Y12s.

Design and Display

Vivo Y712s sports a 6.51 IPS LCD having 720 x 1600 pixels. It has an approximately 81.6% screen-to-body ratio with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display has a sleek design with a waterdrop notch on top accompanied by a visible chin on the bottom.

Looking at the build quality it has a plastic back and a glass front that is bounded by a plastic frame. The volume rockers are placed on the right edge of the device. Beneath the volume rockers lies the fingerprint sensor. Luckily this device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

13MP Dual Rear Camera

Vivo Y12s offers a total of three camera lenses. For the selfie camera, there’s an 8MP lens that rests on the waterdrop notch. This also supports Face Wake which lets you unlock your device any moment you want. For the rear department, there’s a 13MP wide lens coupled with a 2MP depth lens. These lenses are aligned vertically in a rectangular setup. Within the rectangular setup lies an LED flash. It also supports Bokeh, which lets your portraits look more alive and boast greater depth.  With the selfie lens and dual rear setup, you can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.

Performance, Software, and Battery

The Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) powers Vivo Y12s. The octa-core CPU and PowerVR GE8320 as GPU accompanies this chipset. This device runs on Android 10 alongside Funtouch 11.

Talking about the memory aspect we have three variants, 3/32GB, 4//32GB, and 4/128GB. Here in Nepal, we have only 3/32GB. However one can expand the storage using microSDXC. Plus there’s a dedicated slot for that.

Vivo Y12s comes with multi-turbo 3.0. This focuses on optimizing core scenes to reduce stuttering and lag in games. It is also engineered to allocate and prioritize CPU and internal storage resources, especially when too many applications are running simultaneously in the background.

This device is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery.  This supports standard 10W charging. Not only that, it supports 5W reverse charging as well. Similar to that of Vivo Y12 for the charging port we have micro-USB 2.0. There’s AI power-saving technology on this device as well; ensuring plenty of life every day. The massive 5000mAh power cell will give you 16.3 hours of online HD movie streaming, 8.9 hours of resource-intensive gameplay. Other features like accelerometer, proximity, and compass are also available.
