Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro: Everything You Need to Know
The Redmi Note 13 Pro was left out of the initial Note 13 series launch in China back in September. That said, Xiaomi added it to the series when the series’ global roll out in January.
The phone shares a lot with the Chinese Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G but comes with a different 4G chip.
Design and Display
So, without further ado, let’s start with the display. The Note 13 Pro is built around a 6.67-inch FHD AMOLED screen that refreshes at 120Hz.
It’s a 10-bit screen with a 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The peak brightness is listed at 1300 nits, although the phone can only hit 1000 nits in the high brightness mode.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while the phone itself has IP54 ingress protection.
As for design, the Redmi Note 13 Pro brings the same flat edge rounded corner design we have seen in the past. The rear glass panel has a two-tone finish, and it is available in three color options.
200MP OIS Camera
At the back, Redmi Note 13 Pro flaunts the same 200MP triple camera setup as its Pro Plus sibling.
The primary camera combines 16 pixels into 1 to give a 12.5MP photo by default. It even has OIS built into it to help take steady videos and better nighttime images.
This is paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens.
Unfortunately, there is no 4K video recording on the vanilla Note 13 Pro.
MediaTek Helio G99 “Ultra” Chip
This is because the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra can only record up to 1080p/30fps. It is a 6nm chip with four Cortex-A76 and four Cortex-A55 cores. The graphics are handled by Mali G57 GPU. Despite the moniker, there are no Ultra features in this particular chip, and nor has the company bothered to point it out.
This chip comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
Battery, Software, Security
Moving on, the phone gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 67W charging, and you get a 67W USB-C adapter in the box.
The phone ships with Android 14-based MIUI 14 out of the box and will be eligible for HyperOS update in the future.
As for security, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner, which even doubles as a heart rate sensor.
