Honor sub-brand of Huawei had launched Magic Watch 2 which is the successor to previous Magic Watch on 26th September 2019 but is yet to launch in India and Nepal. It is said that Magic Watch 2 might be available in India in January 2020. Honor has brought this beautiful Magic Watch 2 to rival Huawei’s Watch GT 2. Magic Watch 2 comes with improvements, additional features and provide more comfort than what Magic Watch provided. It comes in two variants; 46mm variant and 42mm variant. It will surely arrive in India and when it does, it will surely find its way to Nepal’s market. When it arrives here in Nepal, we expect the Honor Magic Watch 2 Price in Nepal to be around Rs. 22,000 for 42mm variant and Rs. 25,000 for 46mm variant.

Display and Design
46mm Honor Magic Watch 2 comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454x454p whereas 42mm Honor Magic Watch 2 comes with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390x390p. The front design of Magic Watch 2 is a lot similar to its predecessor Magic Watch.
The display of both variants is very bright and supports the Always-on display feature which is really useful and shows your watch face every time. In this watch face, we can use our very own photos as well. This display performs really well and is perfect for daily outdoor exercising.
Coming to the design, Honor Magic 2 has a round design and a stainless steel made built enclosure and buttons or crowns to say. Two buttons are placed at the right edge of the watch for the interface. Magic Watch 2 comes with removable straps that are made from silicone and options like leather straps are also available if you want to buy.
The body of the Magic Watch 2 is roughly 0.9mm thick, and 42mm or 466mm across which depends upon the model you have. In Magic Watch 2, the case of the watch does not seem to be rising as it does in Magic Watch which gives Magic Watch 2 a good minimalistic look. Magic Watch 2 also has water-resistant up to 50meters on both variants.
Performance, Fitness Features & Battery
To deliver performance, Magic Watch 2 is equipped with Kirin A1 chipset just like FreeBuds 3. Honor Magic 2 comes with support to Bluetooth 5.1, dual-frequency GPS and Wi-Fi. It can also control music playback and has 4GB of internal storage built-in. Honor Magic Watch also sports built-in speakers and mic which can be used for handling calls, voice recording or even to play music or videos in loudspeakers.
Magic Watch 2 also supports personalized watch faces and use your own photos as a watch face with a personal touch. You can also store multiple photos and each time you raise your wrist to check on the watch, different watch faces personalized with your photos will show up each time.

Magic Watch 2 also has Dual Satellite Positioning System which accurately records speed, route while running, walking or cycling. There’s also an Altimeter or Altitude meter that will track elevation during hiking or climbing which is a really good feature for regular hiking and climbing goers. There is also a running course integrated into it which can help to improve your endurance and give guidance.
Honor Magic Watch 2 can also track your heart rate while swimming along with SWOLF, distance, calories, and speed. It also helps you optimize safe training with a variety of data such as VO2Max and the effects of anaerobic or aerobic exercise. Huawei TruRelax manages to keep your mind calm from everyday stress through a series of breathing exercises. There’s is also Huawei TruSleep 2.0 which analyses sleeping patterns and shows personalized insights on how to get a better night’s sleep.
Honor Magic Watch 2 comes with 15 goal-based Fitness Modes with voiceover guidance for real-time actionable advice which feels impressive even to hear.
Honor Magic Watch 2 can track your heart rate, distance, time, steps, calories, speed while running, rowing, walking or doing anything else. Magic Watch 2 is packed with fitness features and other normal features like notification handling, weather indicator, stopwatch, alarm, messages, reminders, find my phone, etc. Honor Magic Watch doesn’t have Wear OS or watchOS but its own LiteOS which does not include Google Play Store or any Google Play services.
Honor Magic Watch 2 comes with 455mAh of battery in 46mm variant and 215mAh battery in 42mm variant. Both of the variants can last up to 14 days on a single charge as claimed by the company.
This may be all because of the Kirin A1 chipset which has plenty of power-saving algorithms. These algorithms help the battery to not consume a tank of power even while the display of the watch is on 24/7 because of the Always-on display feature. The Kirin A1 chipset can also deliver great power, smooth performance without taking too much power from the battery. You can juice up the battery of Magic Watch 2 easily via magnetic dock which connects to the rear side of the watch easily.
Honor Magic Watch 2 Price in Nepal and Availability
Honor Magic Watch 2 is currently being sold at only a few specific regions like the UK, Russia, Malaysia, and Indonesia and the price is set at 179 Euros for 42mm variant and 189 Euros for 46mm variant. The color variant available currently is Charcoal Black only.
The other known color variant is a kind of normal steel watch like silver color with a brown strap. Magic Watch 2 is also about to launch in India in January 2020 and when it does it will surely find its way to our Nepal’s market.
