Comparing it to the Band 4 again, the display on the Band 5 is of higher quality and the colors displayed is more vivid and crispier. And for the resisting the band from the scratches, the Band 5 is covered with 2.5D glass.
The underside of the band, you will find a heart-rate sensor and pogo pins side by it for charging. And the Band 5 comes in three colors options; Blue, Black, and Pink.

Fitness Features and More
Besides the usual sets of fitness features such as steps tracking, sleep monitoring, basic workouts detection, the Honor Band 5 sees three new fitness modes like Indoor Walking, Rowing Machine and Elliptical Machine. In total, there are seven fitness modes that are found on the older Honor Band 4 and three new modes as aforementioned.
The new Band 5 is still the same 50-meters water-resistant and can track and recognize swim strokes. However, to the downside, the band still lacks the GPS.
Other than the fitness features, the Band 5 does have some traits of smartwatch, meaning the band will let you set alarms, display notifications, respond to phone calls via Bluetooth connection with the phone. Also, the band has introduced new watch faces to allow the users to choose and customize their bands.
Furthermore, you will find two new features — Phone Finder and Remote Picture Taking. With the Phone Finder, you can find your misplaced phone with a single tap on your band, and with the Remote Picture Taking, you can take selfie and group photos remotely with the band. However, this remote picture taking feature is only supported on phones running EMUI 8.1 or later. The company claims the band can last up to 14 days with a single charge with 100mAh battery inside.

And of course, if you are a regular gym-goer and want an affordable high-quality smartband, the new additional fitness-tracking modes Honor Band 5 has added makes it a perfect choice compared to the newest Xiaomi Mi Band 4.
