Design and Display
At first glance, you might get Honor Watch Magic confused with a traditional watch, as it shares an identical design approach with them. But not be mistaken, the watch is way more powerful than the regular traditional watches.
The Honor Watch Magic has a 1.2-inch round-design dial with slightly rising bezels surrounds it. You will find two premium-looking stainless steel buttons on the right edge of the watch. However, the underside and the side-casing shell is made of high-quality biodegradable plastic.
And speaking of how comfortable wearing it, the watch is just 9.88mm in thickness and weighs about 50 grams, making it pretty comfortable. Also, the silicone-rubber strap, with Italian cowhide on the covering it on the top, has few more than a regular number of perforations to fit your wrist.
Sized at 1.2-inch, the display on the watch is AMOLED and has a resolution of 390-by-390 pixels with 326 pixels-per-inch density. On the underside, there a heart-rate sensor and pogo pins side by it to charge the device.

Honor Watch Magic Specifications, Software, and Features
Under the hood, the Honor Watch Magic, as per Honor claims, is the first device to be powered with a “dual chipset” where one chipset focuses on power efficiency and the other is optimized for performance.
The Watch Magic comes with a custom Lite OS, not the Google’s Wear OS, however, supports Android phones running Android 4.4 or higher, and iOS devices running version 9 or above. On the connectivity part, the watch has Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC for quicker payments via watch directly. This custom OS has restricted the ground to explore other new watch faces from the Google Play Store, and forced to use limited preset watch faces on the watch.
Moving onto what else the Watch Magic packs inside, the watch has only 16MB of RAM, six-axis sensor for sports tracking, and a 178mAh battery which as per Honor report, the watch can survive through 7 days with a single plug-in.
The watch has a real-time heart rate and 24/7 blood pressure monitor, and can also keep track of your sleep habits with improved TruSleep 2.0.
Besides, the smartwatch does possess an impressive set of fitness features, a total of eleven activities (including outdoor and indoor) can be tracked and monitored such as mountain climbing, cycling, swimming, recording workouts and more. For mountaineering, there are features to record the elevation, altitude, barometer for measuring atmospheric pressure, and compass. And the watch is swim-friendly with its 5 ATM water-resisting capability. Also, not to forget the Honor Watch Magic has an in-built GPS that supports three satellite positioning systems— GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO— offering more precise log of your distance covered by cycling or walking, running.
Like every other smartwatch on the market, the Honor Watch Magic can be used to set alarms, get alerts for your incoming calls, SMS messages, and apps notifications via Bluetooth connection with the phone.
Verdict: Is Honor Watch Magic worth the money?
Besides beautiful-looking traditional design and nice build quality, the watch offers good features, especially GPS for accurate tracking and NFC for wireless payment. And the set of fitness and activity tracking features it has, the watch can really attract the outdoor-goers like hikers and mountaineers, workouts maniacs, or anyone who follow an active lifestyle.
However, if personalization is what you love, the proprietary OS and limited customization the watch offers can be a deal-breaker.
