Huawei Mate X 5G was already launched back in February 2019 but went on sale on November 18, 2019, where the smartphone was sold out in less than a minute. Another sale will be taking place on November 22, 2019. The foldable smartphone sold out really good in its home market of China even though Huawei Mate X’s price was CNY 16,999 and expensive than Samsung Galaxy Fold and Moto Razr. Huawei will also be offering a 50% discount on the first display replacement of Huawei mate X which consumers will love.

Display and Design
Huawei Mate X comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display while unfolded and gives FullView an 8-inch display while unfolded. The aspect ratio of the device becomes 21:9 which gives a great feeling while watching movies, videos, and gaming. The display of Huawei Mate X is quite bright, vibrant and well contrasted.

Huawei Mate x has a clasp system to keep the screen firm when the screen is unfolded. The design of Huawei Mate X is really good and feels a bit futuristic. While in the unfolded position, the back of the phone which houses half of the display can also be used and alongside it at the left, we can see a vertical bar which is the brain of the device and also holds a triple rear camera setup. Power button, fingerprint scanner combo, and USB-C port and the internal are also fitted into the vertical bar.
Camera
Huawei Mate X is not made for photography like other smartphones but still comes with a triple rear camera system; 40MP main sensor, 8MP telephoto, and 16MP ultra-wide angles supported by dual-LED dual-tone flash. This setup can judge depth and distance because it is a TOF 3D camera. All of the lenses are from Leica optics. With the help of a 40MP camera sensor, this device captures very good photos with good detail, good light balance, and quality. This setup can also record videos in 4K at 30fps and in 1080p in 30fps.

There is no front camera in this device but the rear triple camera can be used to shoot selfies and videos. The quality goes the same for selfies and videos as well. To snap selfie the folded display will be used and the preview will also be shown in the display that is along with the vertical bar.
Performance, Software, Storage
To deliver performance, Huawei Mate X is equipped with HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset coupled with Balong 5000 5G modem, octa-core processor, Mali-G76 MP 10 as GPU which all are supported by 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 9. Pie skinned with EMUI 9.1.
The performance that Huawei Mate X delivers is quite impressive and doesn’t lag anywhere at all. Gaming and high graphic works can also be done without any lag. The only storage option that Huawei Mate X offers is 512/8GB and can be expanded up to more than 256GB via Nano memory.
Battery and connectivity
Huawei Mate X packs two batteries which gives juice of 4,500mAh battery combined. This battery also supports Huawei 55W SuperCharge tech. This battery can almost last through a day and if it doesn’t then you will charge this battery from 0%-85% in less than 30 minutes. So, the battery juice won’t be a problem at all for this device.

As for connectivity, the Huawei Mate X comes with all the necessary and common sensors found in a smartphone. The phone also supports 5G connectivity which is also one of its highlights. It is equipped with USB 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, loudspeakers, active noise cancellation dedicated mic but does not a 3.5mm traditional headphone jack.
Huawei Mate X Price
On today’s Huawei Mate X sale in its home market China, it was selling at CNY 16,999 and got good sales. The second sell is set to take place on November 22, 2019. The price if converted becomes USD $2,500 in the USA, 2193 Euros in Europe and about INR. 174,000 in India. Huawei Mate X comes only in one color variant which is Interstellar Blue.
