Nokia, once, the throne-sitter of the smartphone-world was known for its weirdly looking powerful phones. And after years, Nokia is here again to make claim for that trait with its newly launched penta-lens camera phone; NOKIA 9 PureView.
Nokia 9: Display, SoC and Memory
Nokia 9 PureView was first seen in the MWC 2019, Barcelona. The phone houses 5.99-inch Quad-HD (1,440 x 2,560 pixels) screen with a 490-PPI display and protected with Gorilla Glass 5.
The machine runs on the last year’s flagship chipset, octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU. The memory on the phone is 6GB RAM sandwiched with 128 ROM, missing out on the expandable storage slot.
Nokia 9: The Penta-Lens Configuration
The main and prime attraction of the phone is the configuration of the honeycomb-looking penta-lens, which gives the phone its name; PureView. Nokia 9 PureView sports five 12MP cameras on its back, all being an f/1.82 aperture with two being RGB and three monochromes. And on the front, the phone flaunts 20MP, f/1.82 camera for selfies.
Nokia 9: Battery and Miscellaneous
Following the recent flagship-smartphone fashion, it rocks in-display fingerprint sensor, IP67, facial recognition via a front camera, and wireless charging like features.
Nokia 9 PureView is powered by a 3,320 mAh Li-ion battery, giving a battery life of a day with a medium-to-heavy usage. The device comes with stock Android 9.0 Pie, meaning there isn’t any skin on the top, similar to Pixel lineups.
Besides, honestly speaking, Nokia 9 is not a gorgeous-looking phone if compared to the bezel-less smartphones we have.

Nokia 9 Price in Nepal
Undoubtedly, Nokia 9 PureView is one of the most powerful feature-packed smartphones, so it kind of deserves the 700 USD for the flagship material. However, Nokia 9 hasn’t launched in Nepal yet, but it is expected to make its debut with a price tag of 80,000 NPR in next month or so!
