Lately, Oppo has been releasing its numerous products in the market. This includes both flagships and mid-range devices. Now to fill the gap, Oppo has launched a brand new budget device, Oppo A12. This device was officially announced back in April. Oppo Nepal has finally announced the availability of this device here in Nepal. This device is a target for the users limited to their bank balance. As the aim of the budget device is to give the users full experience of a mid-range. Oppo A12 packs a dual-camera system with great power fuel. The Oppo A12 price in Nepal is Rs 18,590 for 3/32GB and Rs 20,790 for 4/64GB.
Design and Display
The Oppo A12 houses 6.22-inch IPS LCD with 1720 x 1520 pixels. This device has approximately 82.0 screen-to-body ration with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Looking at the device aesthetics the power button is on the right edge while the volume rockers are placed on the left edge of the device. There’s a waterdrop notch on the top and a visible chin on the bottom. For the protection, we have Corning Gorilla Glass 2. A sleek design with a waterdrop notch looks appealing.
13MP Dual Rear Camera System
For a budget device, Oppo A12 has a decent camera system. It houses a total of three camera lenses. For the selfie camera, we have a 5MP (wide) lens. The waterdrop notch confines the lens. For the rear camera, we have a dual-lens setup of 13MP (wide) + 2MP (depth). With these lenses, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps. The lenses are aligned horizontally. Besides the lenses lies an LED flash.
Performance, Software, and Battery
The Oppo A12 is powered by MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm). Alongside the Mediatek chipset, we have an octa-core CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This device runs on Android 9 alongside ColorOS 6.1. It comes in two storage variants, 3/32GB and 4/64GB. The internal storage is expandable so you don’t have to worry about running out of space.
Talking about the battery, 4230mAh power cell fuels A12. For the charging port, unfortunately, we have micro USB 2.0. As the current trend in the charging port is the standard USB Type-C. Here’s good news as this device has a 3.55mm headphone jack placed on the bottom edge alongside charging port and loudspeakers. We also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
