It was the OPPO, with OPPO Find X, that for the first time ever launched out-of-the-box full-screen phone with a motorized pop-up camera. And since then we have seen multiple designs for the pop-up camera. However, OPPO doesn’t seem to slow down, as they have introduced a new kind of “shark-fin” pop-up camera in their new smartphone, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom & Shark-fin Selfie Camera
As the name itself suggests, the center of attraction of this smartphone is its 10x hybrid zoom camera. The Reno 10x Zoom has a triple rear-camera setup, where the main camera is Sony IMX 48 MP, f/1.7 ultra-large aperture. This which combined with MFNR and HDR with AI portrait optimization helps create professional looking photo even in low-light conditions. The main camera is supported by the 13 MP telephoto lens and 8 MP wide angle lens. As a whole, all combine to get a total bandwidth of 16-160 mm whose full focal length ranges to 10 times that of an ultra-wide angle lens. Dual OIS helps in image stabilization with an accuracy of 0.001445°.
As the competition to full-screen smartphone continues, the Reno 10x Zoom, kind of, stands in a front row. The device has achieved this with a 16 MP, f/2.0 shark-fin pop-up selfie camera, which mechanically actuates at 0.8s and at a perfect angle of 11 degrees.
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom: Design and Hardware
The Reno 10x Zoom measures 6.6 inches diagonally and houses a Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Thanks to shark-fin pop-up selfie camera, the phone is free from any kind of distracting notches.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 processor and aided by Adreno 640 GPU on the graphics side. This system is then coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage, however, can be further expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card. The device comes with two SIM ports and packs a large non-removable Li-Po 4065 mAh battery supported with VFC fast charging (20W) algorithm.
You won’t find any rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, as the phone has incorporated in-display fingerprint scanner.
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Price in Nepal and Availability
The device is available in three colors: Mist Pink, Jet Black, and Ocean Green. The price for the Reno 10x Zoom in Nepal is Rs. 80,990 and will be in the Nepali market by 30th of this June.
