Vivo Y17: Design, Display, and Specs
The new Vivo Y17 is a serious upgrade to its 2013’s predecessor Vivo Y15. The phone adopts a waterdrop notch design and mirror finish back. The device stands 6.35 inches diagonally tall with HD+ (720 x 1544 pixels) and 81.4% screen-to-body ratio. For the price of over 25K, supplying the phone with HD+ sounds unjust. The most of the competitors on the market — Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M30 — are offering FHD+ screen.
Y17 has a bottom-facing speaker sitting next to a microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack intact. There is a fingerprint sensor on its back.
Performance-wise, 12nm octa-core MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 powers the Vivo Y17, aided by PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This configuration is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD slot.
And like every midrange smartphone excelling at their camera performance, Vivo Y17 rocks trending triple camera setup. The main shooter is 13MP, f/2.2 which is accompanied by 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens, and 2MP, f/2.4 depth sensor. Surrounded by waterdrop notch, there is 20MP, f/2.0 selfie camera on its front.
Vivo Y17 proves itself a powerhouse phone with whopping 5,000mAh battery and 18W Dual Engine Fast Charging support. The device flaunts in Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple color gradient variants and comes with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Y17 is set to make its market presence on 24th May in India, which should hint it should hit Nepal by the end of May in August. The phone is priced at INR 17,990 in India, and Vivo Y17 price in Nepal is Rs 24,200 for the 4/128GB model.
