Xiaomi changed the gaming for a budget smartphone with the introduction of Poco F1. Poco F1 had immense success in the market as it received a huge positive response from the users. Following this, Poco announced Poco X2 with a strong processor, powerful GPU, liquid cooling, 120Hz display, and more. Poco X2 was able to win users’ hearts as well although there was a couple of criticism. The news about the Poco F2 Pro was surfacing the internet lately. Finally setting aside all the assumptions and rumors, Xiaomi F2 Pro is official. The Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro price in European market is €499 (~$542) for 6/128GB variant and €599 (~$650) for 8/256GB variant. And this translates, the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro price in Nepal is to be Rs 50,000 for 6/128GB and Rs 60,000 for 8/256GB. Quite expensive for what POCO brand stands for.

Design and Display

Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display that has 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has approximately 87.2% screen-to-body ratio and aspect ratio of 20:9. The Super AMOLED display can reach 500 nits of maximum brightness and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Both the power button and the volume rockers are placed on the right edge.

There’s a motorized pop-up selfie camera that results in the notch-less display. Looking at the Poco devices, Poco F1 and Poco X2 both of them have 3.5mm headphone jack. So it’s obvious that Poco F2 Pro also has one. For the fingerprint sensor, there’s an under-display optical sensor. To aid the gaming experience, Poco F2 Pro features a 360 triple ambient light sensor for delivering accurate ambient light detection and smooth brightness adjustment and has the latest TU Rheinland Full Care Display Certification. It also supports HDR10+, DC dimming, and Sunlight Mode 2.0.

Gaming Experience with Liquid Cooling

poco f2 pro liquid cooling technology gaming

There’s no denying that the internal itself is powerful. The fastest 5G chipset is aided by the ultra-high-speed RAM. But wait there’s more to that. To give users one of the best gaming experiences, Poco F2 Pro has liquid technology 2.0, the largest vapor chamber in the market right now. The vapor chamber has multiple stacks of graphite and graphene. This results in a peak performance even under heavy activity loads. The overall features like HDR10+ display, 6.67-inch display with no notch, fast charging all aids the gaming performance. Not to forget that this device is TUV Rheinland High Gaming Performance certified as well.

Performance, Software, and Battery

Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro is powered by the most powerful 5G processor on the market right now, Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+). This is paired with a 585 octa-core chip processor and Adreno 659 GPU. It runs on Android 10 alongside MIUI 11.

The ultra-high-speed LPDDRG RAM compliments this powerful chipset resulting in top-notch overall performance. This device comes in two storage variants, 6 (LPDDR4X)/128GB and 8(LPDDR5)/256GB. Sadly there’s no card slot for internal storage expansion. You get stuck with what you buy. The 4,700mAh battery fuels this device. It also supports 30-watt fast charging resulting 100% charge in just 63 minutes of charging. It comes with a 33-watt in-box charger as well. For the charging port we have the standard USB Type-C. Other features like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass are also available.
