With global pandemic caused by the Coronavirus, we all are into the quarantine state. Everything has been turned upside down. The tech events that were supposed to take place have been postponed until further notice or canceled.  Mobile World Congress (MWC), one of the most consequential events for scale, content, and influence within the mobile industry was scheduled to run from Feb 24- 27 but has been canceled over coronavirus concern. The annual Google I/O event was supposed to take place on May 12-14. But due to the coronavirus concern, this physical event was canceled and an online event was set. But now Google has confirmed that they are canceling even the online I/O event as well.

Google Developers tweeted this,

“Out of concern for the health and safety of our developers, employees, and local communities — and in line with recent “shelter in place” orders by the local Bay Area counties — we sadly will not be holding I/O in any capacity this year.”

“Right now, the most important thing all of us can do is focus our attention on helping people with the new challenges we all face. Please know that we remain committed to finding other ways to share platform updates with you through our developer blogs and community forums.”

During this time period, we suggest you to stay safe and follow the safety measure by all means. Wash your hands regularly, use tissues/masks to cover your nose and mouth, maintaining social distancing and self-isolating is something you should practice strictly to prevent and fight back the pandemic COVID-19.
