2020 would be known as the year of COVID-19 pandemic. Due to this, almost the whole world is in lockdown. Excluding major services, all other works are shut down or are getting done remotely. But life is still going on and this pandemic hasn’t stopped the smartphone industry from progressing. Amidst this self-isolation periods, some major smartphone manufacturers launched their phone remotely. Earlier this year we got the second budget phone from Apple, the iPhone SE (2020 edition). This low-cost iPhone came with many traits of flagship-level iPhone for just $399. And since the launch of the phone, next in line, the iPhone 12 has seen an increase in leaks and rumors. A recent big leak suggests the upcoming phone could have a starting price of $649 and we are here to talk about it.

iPhone 12 could be even cheaper than the iPhone 11

Popular tipster Jon Prosser who accurately leaked information about the iPad Pro, the MacBook Air, and the iPhone SE, recently leaked information regarding the upcoming iPhone 12. He recently took Twitter to leak some major information about the upcoming flagship iPhone. The post suggests that the starting price of the iPhone 12 will be $649. Not only that, but the vanilla iPhone 12 is also reported to feature a 5.4-inch OLED display as well as dual cameras on the back.

Furthermore, Prosser shares more about the other three iPhone 12 devices. Bigger iPhone 12, with a 6.1-inch display and two cameras, will be priced at $749. According to the tweet, both the Pro models of the phone will come with three cameras on the back along with a LIDAR sensor. As for the pricing, the smaller Pro model featuring a 6.1-inch display will come at $999. While the bigger, Pro Max with a 6.7-inch display would be the top-tier costing at a high $1,099. This does hint the fact, the iPhone 12 will follow iPhone 11’s similar design approach on the back panel.

iPhone 12 Release Date

There have been concerns in the market, that the next iPhone might not get launched this year due to the ongoing pandemic. There could be some delay, but seeing an increase in leaks and enough information about the device, we are quite confident the iPhone will see its limelight this year. Apple deciding to not launch the phone this year would be the biggest surprise. The release date of the phone has not been revealed yet, but we expect the phone will be launched in early October.
