Motorola is a manufacturer that provides a strong build and a strong device in a budget and mid-range segment. Motorola is also one of the oldest smartphone manufactures in the world. Motorola has launched many smartphones this year including One Action, One Zoom, One Macro, One vision and many more. Motorola has gained many loyal consumers and has a good fan base. Motorola isn’t stopping to launch phones and has launched G8 Plus in October 2019 and is on the verge of launching another new foldable phone named Motorola Razr. Let’s talk about Motorola G8 Plus first. It is currently priced at INR 13,999 in India which is roughly Rs.22,150 in Nepal. Display and Design
Motorola G8 Plus comes with a 6.3-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2290p which also houses a tear-drop notch where its front camera resides. The display is protected with Panda Glass which is similar to Corning Gorilla Glasses. The display is quite good and gives the user a nice experience while watching videos, gaming and doing tasks.

Motorola G8 Plus body is built from plastic and has a glossy finish at the back. We can see a triple rear camera setup at the top left corner of the device all aligned vertically supported by an LED flash. We also can see a Motorola logo in the middle of the device which also is a fingerprint scanning mount. At the right edge of the device, volume rockers and power buttons can be found whereas a hybrid SIM card slot at the left, a headphone jack port at the top edge and a speaker grill, microphone and USB Type-C port at the bottom edge.
Camera
Moto G8 Plus offers a triple rear camera; 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide lens and 5MP depth field sensor all supported by an LED flash. This setup can capture really good photos that are sharp, vibrant and well-balanced but the pictures that are taken during the night or low light are filled with noise and grains. This setup is also able to record videos in 4K at 30fps and in 1080p at 30fps/60fps and at 120fps. The device has electronic stabilization which helps to record more stabilized videos. This setup can record videos from wide-angle but can’t take pictures from wide-angle.

Coming to the front camera department, Moto G8 Plus comes with a 25MP front camera which takes really good photos but feels little over-exposed in saturation levels while it is processed. This front camera sensor is able to record videos in 1080p at 30fps and 120fps.
Performance, Software, Storage
Moto G8 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 665 chipset, Octa-core processors, Adreno 610 as GPU supported by 4GB of RAM which all runs on Android 9.0 Pie to deliver power and performance. Moto G8 Plus gives a complete stock android feeling which is a plus point and Android 9.0 Pie of G8 Plus can be is upgradeable to Android 10. Moto G8 Plus only comes in 1 storage variant which is 4GB/64GB which’s storage can be further extended up to 512GB via microSD card. Combining all this with Dolby sound and stereo speakers we get some really good experience while gaming and watching videos, but G8 Plus is not one of high gaming performers though.
Battery and connectivity
Moto G8 Plus packs a 4000mAh battery which has 15W Battery charging support. We can expect this battery to provide juice up to throughout the day. As for connectivity, G8 Plus comes with all the common sensors found in a smartphone, Type-C reversible connector, USB On-The-GO, stereo speakers, Dolby sound and Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.

Moto G8 Plus comes in two color variants; Dark Blue and Dark Red. It is currently priced at INR 13,999 in India which is roughly Rs.22,150 in Nepal. Moto G8 Plus price in Nepal could be under Rs.25,000 as per our speculations. But there are other smartphones in Nepal under Rs.20,000 those worth the price. Moto G8 Plus hasn’t hit Nepal’s market but our speculation suggests it could enter really soon.
