Samsung Galaxy M40, a wanna-be mid-range champion smartphone

Samsung Galaxy M40 Price in Nepal

Introducing the Galaxy M-series could be possibly one of the smartest moves by Samsung. This has made Samsung grab a hold on mid-range smartphones’ market previously led by OEMs like Xiaomi. And recently, Samsung’s newest Galaxy M40 is a front horse in M-series.

Samsung Galaxy M40 has already been well appreciated in the Indian market, and now, the phone enters the Nepali market via offline stores and online stores like Daraz, Sastodeal, and SmartDoko.

Samsung Galaxy M40: Design, Display, and Specs

The M40 is nothing like its siblings but a better and upgraded one. The phone houses a 6.3 inches tall Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) screen and has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio for a better and immersive experience.  Besides, M40 sports a trendy Infinity-O display design inspired directly from the bigger brother, S10. However, given it’s a mid-range phone, M40 plastic back panel guises in the glass-like finish.

On the processing power count, the device packs octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, based on 11nm architecture, which then accompanied by Adreno 612 GPU. Keeping up with the trend, M40 is undoubtedly a powerful phone running with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Moreover, this storage can be further expanded up to 1TB via a shared SIM2 slot.

Like on every other mid-range phone, the M40 excels at the camera department with the triple-camera setup on its back. The main camera module is 32MP, f/1.7, other two cameras are an 8MP, f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP, f/2.2 depth sensor, and this trio is capable of shooting 1080p and 2160p videos at 30 frames-per-second. OIS or even EIS could have been a sweet touch, unfortunately, the M40 lacks it. On the front, has a 16MP, f/2.0 selfie camera confined by punch-hole.

Besides for an FHD+ display larger as 6.3 inches, 3500mAh might sound a little less than it should have been, but a 15W fast-charging battery is a help for sure. The M40 comes with the latest OneUI on the top, Android 9.0 out of the box.
