2019 has been a good year for Xiaomi. The company launched phones from the budget to mid-range to flagship segment in which they all rocked. Not just phones, but Xiaomi has also marked its place in the wearables department. However, the year, 2020, has been a trying time.
The launch event for Xiaomi’s flagship lineup Mi-series was rumored to take place in the month of February in China before the Samsung Unpack Event which took take place on Feb 11. But Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 series on Feb 13 in an online event instead of organizing a grand one due to Coronavirus epidemy. Xiaomi was expected to globally launch the series during the MWC 2020 which also got canceled due to the same reason.
And now, finally, after three months of release in China, Mi Note 10 with 5G support has made into the Nepali market. Xiaomi Nepal has set the Mi 10 5G price in Nepal as NPR 89,999 for an 8/256GB variant.
Design and Display
Starting with the outlooks, the Mi 10 measures 6.67-inch tall with 1080-by-2340 resolution AMOLED display and an aluminum frame sandwiched between glass panels. The display on the phone has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 386ppi pixel density and features 90Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support and in-screen fingerprint sensor. Besides, there sits a punch-hole cutout to confine a 20MP selfie camera on the top-left.
On the back, a vertical array of four cameras and dual-LED flash are aligned. The bottom edge of the phone houses bottom-firing stereo speakers and USB Type-C, but no sight of 3.5mm headphone jack.
108MP Quad Camera and Top-Notch Performance
Aforementioned, the Mi 10 5G comes with a quad-camera setup for the photography department: a 108MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) ultrawide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) for depth sensing. Mi 10 camera sports some mention-worthy flagship features: Night Mode 2.0, AI studio lighting, Portrait mode background blurring, Ultra wide-angle edge distortion correctio, Panorama Selfie, Group photo face correctio, Portrait mode background blur adjustment and can shoot stunning UHD 8K at 30 frames-per-second with OIS-enabled industry-leading video stabilization.
Moreover, the rear camera is capable of shooting 120 frames-per-second slo-mo videos up to 1080p. For the selfie camera, the device has a 20MP, f/2.3, and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Talking about the performance, the Mi 10 is a pretty beast, in fact, the first 5G phone in Nepal to pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with X55 modem coupled. Paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of storage, the device misses on the memory expansion slot.
Apart from that, the 4,780mAh battery fuels the phone, and like the OnePlus 8 Pro, the Mi 10 supports 30W for both the wired and the wireless charging. For immersive gaming experience, the phone uses LiquidCool 2.0 with a large vapor chamber and a multi-layer graphite and graphene stack that dissipate heat to ensure sustained peak performance
On the software side, the Mi 10 5G comes with MIUI 11, based on Android 10, out of the box, and slated to receive the MIUI 12 update on a first batch.

Xiaomi Mi 10 is available in three storage variants: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB, depending on the region.
In the initial release in China, Mi 10 5G was priced at 3,999 yuan for the 8/128GB variant, 4,299 yuan for the 8/256GB variant, and 4,699 yuan for the top-tier 12/256GB variant. Now, that Mi 10 5G is officially launched and comes in Twilight Grey and Coral Green colors, the Mi 10 price in Nepal is set for Rs 89,999 (8/256GB).
