Most of the smartphone companies are not releasing their flagships due to COVID-19 pandemic. They are postponing their schedule. Few brands like Oppo, Honor, Motorola, and Vivo has announced their device. Previously Honor announced its new mid-range device, Honor 30S. Now they are back with Honor Play 4T and Honor Play 4T Pro. Both of these devices are expected for the official announcement on 8 April 2020. The expected price of Honor Play 4T in Nepal is Rs 25,000 and Honor Play 4T Pro is Rs 30,000.
Honor Play 4T
Design and Display
Honor Play 4T flaunts 6.3-inch IPS LCD display having 720 x 1560 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. On the top, we have a hole-punch display and a visible chin on the bottom. Looking at the device aesthetics, both volume rockers and power button are placed on the right edge of the device. Nowadays it looks as if only the mid-range smartphones are coming with headphone jack. Honor Play 4T has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom edge. For the fingerprint sensor, it is mounted on the back of the device.
48MP Dual Rear Camera
Honor Play 4T rocks a total of 3 camera lenses. For the selfie camera, we have an 8MP camera lens. It is confined by the hole-punch display. With the selfie lens, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps.
For the rear camera, we have a dual-camera setup. This consists of 48MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) camera lenses. With the rear lenses, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps. The dual rear camera lenses are aligned in a rectangular setup. Beneath the lenses lies an LED flash.
Performance, Software, and Battery
HiSilicon Kirin 710A (12nm) powers Play 4T and is coupled with Mali G51 MP4 as the GPU. It runs on Android 10.0 with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Huawei Mobile Service (HMS) alongside Magic UI 3.1. Only 6/128 GB variant is available for this device. But not to worry as the internal storage is expandable using microSDXC. 4000mAh battery fuels Play 4T. Sadly for the charging port, we have micro USB 2.0. Black, Blue, and Green are the available color variants. Features like Accelerometer, proximity and many more are available.

Honor Play 4T Pro
Design and Display
Honor Play 4T Pro has a couple of upgrades here and there. It house 6.3-inch OLED display having 1080 x 2340 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9. Talking about the display it has waterdrop notch on the top and a slightly visible chin on the bottom. Similar to Play 4T, both of the volume rockers and the power buttons are placed on the right edge of the device. We do have 3.5mm headphone jack placed on the bottom edge. We have an under-display fingerprint sensor.
48MP Triple Rear Camera Setup
Honor Play 4T Pro has an upgrade in the selfie lens and an addition in a rear camera lens. Play 4T Pro has a total of four camera lenses. For the selfie camera, we have a 16MP lens. With this, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps. It is confined by the waterdrop notch.
For the rear department, there’s a triple camera setup. This consists of 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (depth). With this triple-lens setup, you can shoot videos 2160p@30fpds, 1080p@30fps. It has a similar lens alignment to that of Play 4T in a rectangular box. But here an LED flash is placed within the rectangular box.
Performance, Software, and Battery
Powering the Honor Play 4T Pro HiSlicon Kirin 810 (7 nm) is coupled with 6/8 GB of RAM. We have Mali-G52 MP6 as the GPU. Play 4T Pro operates on Android 10.0 with AOSP and HMS alongside Magic UI 2.1.
Looking at the storage we have 128GB & 256GB variants available. The 128GB variant is expandable up to 256GB using nano memory. It uses shared SIM slot. The 4000mAh battery fuels this device. It also supports 22.5-watt fast charging. For the charging port, we have standard USB Type-C. Features like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass are available as well. Black, Blue, and Green are the available color variants.
