With just a couple of smartphones to be being released due to Coronavirus lockdown, the overall smartphone market economy is crashed. Not so long ago Honor announced Honor 30S and there were rumors regarding the launch of the iPhone 9. Now Oppo has officially announced the release of Oppo Reno Ace 2 5G. Back in October 2019, Oppo released Oppo Reno Ace. It was the fastest charging in the market. Now Oppo Reno Ace 2 is all set to hit the market. The expected price of Oppo Reno Ace 2 in Nepal is Rs 70,000.
Design and Display
The Oppo Reno Ace 2 will be a housing 6.5-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixels. We will have a top-left centered punch-hole display. On Oppo Reno Ace there was 90Hz but it is expected that Reno Ace 2 will have 120Hz screen refresh rate, HDR10+ display. For the protection of the display, there will Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Moving towards the device aesthetics there will be Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. The power button is placed on the right edge while the volume rockers are on the left edge of the device.
48MP Quad Rear Camera Setup
The camera configuration will be quite similar to Reno Ace. For the selfie camera, there will be a 16MP lens. This will be confined by the top-left centered punch-hole display. With the selfie lens, you will be able to shoot videos 1080p@30fps.
For the rear camera, there will be a quad camera setup. This will be combination of 48M (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth). These lenses will be aligned in an Oreo setup. With the 48 MP quad-camera setup you will be able to shoot videos 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps; gyro-EIS.
Performance, Software, and Battery
The Oppo Reno Ace 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 865 (7nm+). For the GPU there will be Adreno 650. It will run on Android 10.0 alongside ColorOS 7.0. Although these are rumored specs only but if we compare with Reno Ace they are upgraded for sure.
On the memory department, 8/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB variant will be available. Sadly the internal memory will not support expansion. But the 3.55mm will be there on Reno Ace 2. The 4000mAh battery will fuel Reno Ace 2. Not only that, but it will also support 65-watt fast charging. This will result in 100% charge within 30 minutes. Plus there will be 40-watt wireless charging as well.
