Huawei FreeBuds 3 is Huawei’s new truly wireless open-fit earbuds. The design seems very familiar because most of the earbuds like Realme Buds Air, Xiaomi AirDots Pro 2 are coming in these types of designs. The FreeBuds 3 provides great comfort while sitting in our ears and feels very light and supports Wireless charging. FreeBuds 3 is launched to rival premium earbuds like Apple AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds and comes at a cheaper price but still may feel expensive to most of the consumers. Design & Quality

The Huawei FreeBuds 3’s design has been changed a little only just to improve the comfort level it provides over its predecessors. These buds are open-fit which means they don’t that silicone tips which would fit and lock into the ear canal nicely and enhance the level of sound quality and noise cancellation. The outside surrounding noise isn’t isolated well in these buds bud the comfort these buds provide is really amazing. The way sensors are placed, speakers are placed and the length of the stem is very much familiar to 2^nd gen AirPods. Huawei FreeBuds 3 also come with IPX4 splash resistant.

Coming to the charging case, the charging case has a bit unusual design. The case comes with a round design and really nicely curved edges which feels really pleasing while holding and goes easily inside pockets. The finish is really glossy and shiny and also supports Qi wireless charging. These cases also sport a Type-C port to juice up via cable. We can also find the company’s logo on silver aluminum type placement just in the middle below of the lid. This placement adds more good looks to the design and makes the case much more attractive.

Huawei FreeBuds 3 also features touch controls that can be used to double-tap on the right bud to play/pause music, control volume, activate voice assistant and tapping on the left bud to enables or disables active noise cancellation. They also support seamless connectivity which means they can connect automatically to paired devices right after the charging case’s lid is opened up. To enhance this connectivity, even more, Huawei has integrated its Kirin A1 chip with support for Bluetooth 5.1 and an Isochronous dual-channel connection that can save battery juice as well as can ensure the maximum latency of 190s.

Huawei FreeBuds 3 provide up to 15dB of active noise cancellation but the isolation doesn’t feel impressive. That may be because of its open-fit design and absence of silicone tips that jams in our ear canal. The active noise cancellation in these Freebuds 3 works by analyzing the noise of the surrounding through microphones integrated at each bud. To add more fun, Huawei has used 14.2mm dynamic driver in both buds to enhance the sound quality and bass of the buds. The combination of active noise cancellation and rich quality sound gives a really good experience but is not as good as premium earbuds such as Apple AirPods Pro.

Let’s talk about power backup now, FreeBuds 3 packs 30mAh of battery at each bud which provides 4 hours of continuous music playback time on a single charge. The case also packs 410mAh of battery and can provide 16 hours of continuous music playback time on a single charge which makes 20 hours of total continuous music playback time. The juice that these buds and case’s battery provides might be more than enough for daily use, but may also feel a little low because other earbuds can provide more battery backup than what FreeBuds 3 provides.

Freebuds 3 are currently being sold at 179 Euros on abroad countries which translates around NPR 23,000. However, Huawei FreeBuds 3 price in Nepal is set for NPR 20,900, a little less than what it costs in EU countries but still expensive for Neapali consumers. FreeBuds 3 are available in 3 colors which are carbon Black and Ceramic White.
