The Vivo Z1x price in Nepal could be around Rs 27,560 for 6GB/64GB variant and Rs. 29,926 for 6GB/128GB variant.

Strength Weakness
Good design and feel Funtouch OS still needs work
Good performance Low-light camera and night mode isn’t good enough
Good camera performance during daylight Not good enough battery performance regarding its 4500mAh capacity
Rapid 22.5W fast charging No expandable storage option

Display and Design

Vivo Z1x has a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2340p and also contains an in-display fingerprint sensor along with a tiny water-drop notch which holds its front camera for selfie shooting at the bottom top of the display. This display also provides the feature called “Always on Display” which basically shows date and time without turning the screen off and also consumes less battery (Just like Samsung devices). This Super AMOLED display is rich in colors, well balanced, vibrant and bright which gives the user a great feeling which gaming, watching videos or doing tasks.

The Vivo Z1x has no Gorilla Glass protection but is using Schott Xensation 3D glass for its protection. This phone also has no IP certification which means it is not water/dust resistant. The body is built from Polycarbonate. It also has a dedicated Google Assistant button along with volume rockers and power button which are easy to reach even on a one-hand operation. At the back, we can see a triple rear camera setup all aligned vertically on the top left of the phone supported by an LED flash. The colors are shimmering at the back which gives the phone a really nice finish. Vivo Z1x is a really well-designed feel and gives a really nice feel and look to the user.

Camera

Vivo Z1x is following the market trend and comes with a triple rear camera setup; 48MP main sensor (Similar to OnePlus 7T Pro), 8MP ultra-wide-sensor and 5MP depth field sensor all supported by an LED flash. Vivo has always been competitive when it comes to the camera. Vivo tries to deliver a great camera for an affordable price. This triple rear camera setup produces really good images at daylight but when it comes down to low-light and Night Mode, it’s just the opposite. Vivo Z1x is not a good performer when it comes to low-light and Night Mode. This setup is also able to record videos at 4K in 30fps and at 1080p in 30fps.

For the front camera department, Vivo Z1x features a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 (Just like Samsung GalaxyA70s) which rests on the tiny water-drop notch present at the bottom top of the Super AMOLED display. This front camera produces really detailed, crisp and sharp photos which also well balanced and well saturated. This camera performs good and is able to record videos at 1080p in 30fps.

Performance, Software, and Storage

To deliver performance, the Vivo Z1x is equipped with 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 712 chipset, octa-core processor and Adreno 616 as GPU (Similar to RealMe 5 Pro) which all runs on Android 9.0 Pie skinned with Vivo’s own UI named Funtouch OS version 9.1. The Vivo Z1x performs excellently without any lag or showing signs of slowing down. The gaming experience is quite good and smooth unless you are a heavy gamer but games like PUBG run as smooth as butter and doesn’t even lag when changing apps. The Funtouch OS still needs work because is still not as much user-friendly and the icons on Funtouch are really not satisfying.

The Vivo Z1X comes in two storage variants; 64GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/6GB RAM, which can be further expanded to 256GB via MicroSD card slot.

Battery and connectivity

The Vivo Z1x is powered by a giant 4500mAh Li-Po battery (Similar as Galaxy A90 5G) which also supports 22.5W Fast battery charging support. Even though the Vivo Z1x has a giant battery, the battery performs more averagely than other mid-range phones with the same battery capacity, but 22.5W Fast Charging Support is quite handy and fills the juice in battery at a good speed.
