When the world is going crazy for the bezel-less screen, Chinese mobile company Xioami took a bold move to go for the old, out-dated design. The Redmi 7A is the one, which Xioami announced back in May and released in June.
Xioami Redmi 7A: Design, Display, and Specs
The Xiaomi Redmi 7A is powered by octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 439 chip, Adreno 505 GPU which maintains a lag-free performance. Along with this, this device is accompanied by 2GB of RAM coupled with 16/32GB internal storage. In modern days, the 16GB or 32GB internal memory can be a problem. However, there is an external slot to expand the total storage capacity up to 256GB.
This smartphone is housed with a 12MP rear lens of f/2.2 aperture, 5MP, f/2.2 front camera. Both the selfie and rear cameras can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
The Remi 7A parades a 5.45 inches LCD display (720 x 1440) with 74.4% screen-to-body ratio and 18:9 aspect ratio. This smartphone has a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery supporting 10W and long hours of backup. This device runs on Android 9 layered by MIUI 9.

Overviewing the device, you already have an idea that Redmi 7A is a cheaper version of Redmi 7 and puts an impression as a little upgraded version to Redmi Go. The device is available in two storage variants; 2/16GB and 2/32GB.
Though the phone hasn’t officially made to Nepali market, Redmi 7A goes on sale in India via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores, 2/16GB priced at INR 5,999 and 2/32GB for INR 6,199. So, this pretty much gives us an insight into how much will the device cost for in Nepal. As far as we can speculate, the Redmi 7A 2/16GB variant price in Nepal should be Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 11,000 for 2/32GB variant.

The handset might not seem a great phone to have, however, it has a good performance record, a sustainable battery life and fits perfectly in the Nepali smartphone market as per its price range. Also, if the smartphones under 10000 in Nepal is to be considered, Redmi 7A might become the top smartphone to buy under 10000, dethroning the sibling Redmi Go.
