Huawei Nova 7i, a new mid-range flagship from Huawei is re-branded version of Nova 6 SE

Despite having issues with the US government, Huawei still manages to stand tall. The flagships from the Huawei are maintaining their hype. There are a good number of Huawei smartphone users in Nepal as well. This smartphone brand has occupied a good number of user base here. Numerous news has been here about Huawei’s next mid-range flagship, Huawei nova 7i. Huawei nova 7i is all set to launch on 14 February 2020. Not only nova 7i will be launched in February but also the most awaited Poco X2 from Poco as well. Nova 7i is considered a rebranded version of Nova 6 SE. The expected price of Huawei nova 7i in Nepal is under Rs 45,000.

Design and Display

Huawei nova 7i sports 6.4-inch LTPS IPS LCD display having 1080 x 2310 pixels. It is protected by gorilla glass on the front and has plastic back and frame. There are volume rockers and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right edge of the device. The 3.55mm headphone is placed on the bottom edge alongside the charging port. It’s a plus point to Huawei for including the headphone jack.

Quad Camera Setup

Huawei nova 7i looks impressive in the camera department. Talking about the selfie camera, nova 7i flaunts 16 MP, f/2.0 (wide) lens. The selfie camera is confined by the punch-hole on the left. With the selfie lens, you can shoot videos 1080p@30 fps.

Looking at the quad-camera setup of nova 7i, it will definitely remind you of iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. But instead of 3 camera lenses, there are 4 on nova 7i. The same quad-camera setup as seen on Huawei nova 5z as well. The quad-camera setup consists of 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (main lens)PDAF + 8 MP, f/2.4, (ultrawide) + 2 MP, f/2.4, 27mm (wide), dedicated macro camera + 2 MP, f/2.4, 1/5.0″, 1.75µm, depth sensor. With the rear camera, you can shoot videos 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.

Huawei Nova 7i is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 810 (7nm) alongside Mali-G52 as the GPU MP6. It runs on Android 10.0 and EMUI 10. For the memory, we have 8 GB of RAM coupled with 128 GB internal storage.

Massive 4200mAh fuels nova 7i. Not only it has a massive battery but also supports 40-Watt fast charging. For the charging port, there’s standard USB Type-C. Black, Emerald Green, and Light Pink/Blue are the available color variants. Other features like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc.

For a mid-range smartphone, Huawei Nova 7i packs almost everything. The 4200mAh battery, 40-Watt fast charging, 48 MP quad-camera setup are some noteworthy features. We have not received any confirmation from the officials regarding the price or availability of the Nova 7i in Nepal.
