Display and Design
Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite comes with a 6.39 Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2340p. This display also comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and houses a water-drop notch where its front camera resides. The display of this phone is really crisp, vibrant, bright and well contrast in colors. The Super AMOLED screen enhances the experience of the user while gaming, watching videos and doing other tasks. This display also houses an in-display fingerprint scanner and Always-on display feature.

The design of the phone is very much like Mi 9 Pro 5G. The triple rear camera is placed at the top left side at the back of the phone just like Mi 9 Pro 5G. The bezels at the front are also very much alike. The finish of the back panel of the phone is really glossy and shiny. The phone is plastic build but feels really pleasing to eyes and hands to hold.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite features a triple rear camera; 48MP main sensor (Similar to Redmi Note 8T), 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2MP depth field sensor all supported by an LED flash. This setup is also able to record videos in 4K at 30fps, in 1080p at30/60/120fps, and in 720p at 960fps. The pictures that these cameras take have details that are well preserved. The Night Mode also does the job really well in snapping good and detailed photos at a low night. The AI Portrait Mode is also really well integrated.

Coming to the front camera department, Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite sports a 32MP front camera which takes flagship premium like selfies. The selfies are crystal clear, detailed and the AI beauty features works really impressively. This camera is also able to record videos in 1080 at 30fps. Overall the camera performance of the phone is really impressive.
Performance, Software, Storage
Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite is equipped with Snapdragon 710 chipset, octa-core processor, Adreno 616 and 6GB of RAM which all runs on Android 9.0 Pie skinned with MIUI 10 and Dark Mode integrated into it. These components deliver quite good performance. The phone doesn’t lag or show signs of slowing down while gaming and doing heavy tasks. The performance delivered by the phone will be enough for most people. The phone also has Game Turbo 2.0 to deliver all the power produced by chipset and processor into gaming and Mi Turbo to enhance the working experience.
The logo at the back of the device found on the bottom left of the device also has a Logo pause light feature which means that the Logo will light up while charging, calling, listen to music, incoming notification/messages, etc, each with different colors to indicate. The storage variants that Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite offers are; 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB which can be further expanded to 256GB via microSD card slot.
Battery and connectivity
Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite packs a 4030mAh (Bigger than Huawei Nova 5Z) battery which can last throughout a day easily while doing day-to-day normal tasks and struggle a bit if heavy gaming and doing high graphics work. This battery also is supported by 18W fast charging support.

It is currently selling at 253 Euros but hasn’t still been launched in India even though Xiaomi has its power plant in India where they manufacture phones. The phone will be a bit cheaper in India because of the power plant they have. The speculated price of Mi 9 Lite in India is INR. 19,000 as most of the resources claim. Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite price in Nepal could be around Rs.30,000 for the base model as per our speculations when it launches in Nepal’s market. However, there are still more phones available in Nepal’s market under Rs.30,000 those worth the price.
