Xiaomi looks fully loaded to outrun other brands in terms of mid-range devices. With the introduction of Mi Note 10, Xiaomi has everyone’s eye caught on them. Following the release of Mi Note 10, the Note 10 series is expanded with the addition of Mi Note 10 Lite, Mi Note 10 Pro, and now Mi Note 10 Youth. Here Note 10 and Note 10 Pro are the high-end flagships while Note 10 Lite and Note 10 Youth are mid-range versions. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite offers a lot for its price. To make the Note 10 device more affordable, Xiaomi has introduced Mi Note 10 Youth with few changes from Note 10 Lite. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Youth price in Nepal is Rs 40,000.
Design and Display
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Youth houses 6.57-inch Super AMOLED, HDR10+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has an approximately 85.0% screen-to-body ratio and aspect ratio of 20:9. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It can reach 600 nits of maximum brightness.
Talking about the device aesthetics, both the power button and the volume rockers are placed on the right edge of the device. There’s a waterdrop notch on the top and a visible chin on the bottom. As seen on Note 10 Lite, this device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. This thing is a true gift for gamers.
48MP Rear Quad Camera Setup
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Youth rocks a total of five camera lenses. For the selfie camera, we have a 16MP lens similar to that of Note 10 Lite. This is confined by the waterdrop notch on the display. With the selfie lens, you can shoot videos 1080p@30fps.
The rear quad camera lenses are different from Note 10 Lite. Here on the quad setup we have 48MP (wide) + 8MP (50X periscope telephoto) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro). Instead of depth lens, we have a telephoto lens on this device. With these lenses one can shoot videos 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@960fps; gyro-EIS. These lenses are aligned in a rectangular box. Beneath the lenses lies an LED flash. The outstanding feature of this camera module is the 50X periscope telephoto lens.
Performance, Software, and Battery
The Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G (7 nm) powers Mi Note 10 Youth and is coupled with Adreno 620 as GPU. It runs on Android 10 alongside MIUI 11. It is available in four storage variants, 6/64GB, 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB. Sadly on this device as well there’s no card slot for expansion of internal storage. The 4160mAh battery fuels this device. It also supports 22.5-watt fast charging with USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 4+. If we look at other features there’s under-display optical sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and more.
