Alongside the announcement of Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha in an event in China, Xiaomi also released the news regarding their custom Android interface MIUI 11. This new firmware is based on Android 10. Improvements and refinements are made to MIUI 11 compared to MIUI 10.
For the visuals, we have softer icons and a system-wide dark mode. A new font ‘Milan Pro’ has been introduced, with the feature of dynamic font scaling. Fresh wallpaper, themes, and improved animation are also there.
MIUI is elevated with dynamic sound effects. These effects recall ambient sounds from nature. MIUI has preloaded two new office suites apps: Mi work and Mi-Go. Mi work suite enables document transfer, cross-platform file sharing, casting functionality, printing wirelessly. A smart travel assistant and a new “extreme power saving mode” is included on Mi-Go.

This interface also includes a document viewer and a new remainder feature. Features like upgraded kids mode, family guard, screen time, Emergency SOS, Earthquake warnings, Game Turbo are also included. Emergency SOS is where you can rapidly press the power button five times and sent the SOS message to Emergency contact. Earthquake warning is another very important feature is where you will be notified regarding earthquakes.
